SK!NT: First up to prove their worth is SK!NT. A house, bass & garage promoter from East London. Starting from what was a small idea to create a more lively nightlife at their University, SK!NT have really proved their worth & are taking the London Underground raving scene by storm. As we all know partying isn't cheap, especially when your a student, so these guys felt it only seemed fit to create the ultimate raving experience at the cheapest prices possible. Bored of the repetative club event's taking over their universities itinarary, SK!NT knew it was time to change the game and give the students a brand new raving experience. Abolishing the cliche club nights of old school funky & bashment, they new it was time to step it up a notch & so introduced some of London's best up and coming DJ's to the University as well as the Underground Raving Scene. These guys are definitely putting in the work, even flying across the pond this summer to the worlds party capital Ibiza, to host a pool party at the legendary Ibiza Rocks Hotel. It's clear these guys mean business and are definitely contenders, worthy of being on our shortlist.
Murkage: Next into the ring to prove why they deserve a shot at the title is Murkage, an Internationally known rap & electronica collective made up of some of the UK finest MC's, DJ's, producers, designers & creatives. Known as what can only be described as 'legends' on the Manchester club scene, with their night, 'The Murkage Club' these guys are serious contenders. As well as providing some fist pumping raves, they are also regulars at Leeds Festival, and even produce their own tracks, releasing many singles under their label 'Murkage Cartel'. The guys have continued pushing themselves, creating track after track and it seems their hard work is starting to pay off, having their recent single, 'Le Plage' hailed as record of the week by Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe 3 weeks running. It's clear these guys are set to conquer the London raving scene this year & are bringing their famous 'Murkage Club' to London town.
Pack London: London based promotions company Pack London, are hailed as one of the top portals dedicated to informing you of some of the best nights that London have to offer. Their love of the rave scene is strong and it was only inevitable that over time these guys would start putting together their own parties. Years of networking and promotion have definitely helped these guys no end and their rostra of DJ's & MC's is endless, growing majorly over the past couple of years. Creating parties with the likes of DJ's Spooky, Zinc, Luck & Neat, Wookie & Garage legend DJ EZ, not only across London but across the UK & the world, even hosting their own stages at Glastonbury & Outlook Festival, they really do provide something for everyone. We look forward to seeing what to seeing what these guys have to offer over the coming year.
Dollop: Emerging from the UK music scene 7 years ago comes our next contender Dollop. Hailing from Nottingham, they pride themselves on being one step ahead of the game, making sure they introduce their fans to the newest Electronic music on offer. Calling upon artists from across all fields including DJ's, bands & live acts they bring their own unique spin to their raves, everything from sound, photography & lighting is carefully worked out to ensure their clientele experience something new at every event. After 5 years in the game they decided to branch out and move to London, bringing that infamous Dollop vibe to an already eclectic scene. Previous guests at their nights include: Breach, Eat's Everything, Jamie Jones, Maya Jane Coles & Oneman to name a few. Definitely one to watch this year, we predict big things from these guys.
Gin & Juice: Last up & proving why they are worthy contenders of the title are Hip Hop conosseirs Gin & Juice. Leeds born by way of London, these guys are plotting to tear up London's urban club scene this year! Labelled as Leeds 'Number 1' Hip Hop night, as well as notching up several nominations at the Leeds Bar & Club awards, it's clear these guys are taking no prisoners. With a combination of some of the best Hip Hop beats, being spun by some of Leed's hottest Urban DJ's, the bar has been set incredibly high, so it's no wonder the boys now have their sights set on a bigger project, choosing London as their next victim! Expect urban bangers from the likes of: Busta Rhymes, KRS-ONE, Aaliyah, Biggie Smalls, Wu-Tang Clan, Dr Dre & loads more. Trust us you won't be disappointed. Were tipping these guys for big success over the summer, so watch out for the Gin & Juice Takeover.
