Every King has his reign and has to relinquish his title, and it’s time to crown royalty. Three renowned hip hop artists go head to head with their three newest albums, ‘Magna Carta, Holy Grail’, ‘Yeezus’, and ‘Nothing Was the Same’. All three have their own loyal and branded fans, many readers would assume that the infamous Jay-Z would have outdone his fellow rappers and according to US sales he sold 528,000 copies within one week of release. However, Drake’s new album ‘Nothing Was the Same’ stormed the charts and sold 658,000 copies in the first week, beating both Jay-Z and Kanye West, Drake has settled in as the current boss. Kanye’s album ‘Yeezus’ only just sold 327,000 copies within the first week, the shortage in sales is mostly due to a lack of released singles and little promotion.
