Hip Hop Live : The Pharcyde Show in Camden

10:30 PM: Here we are... Imani and Bootie Brown got it ! During 5 minutes, they play with the crowd to introduce the same sick beat they made to start their first album, 21 years ago... " Oooooooh Sh**********t " Of course the room is mad ! Let s return at the beginning of this crazy show...
8 PM: DJ Maseo ( De La Soul ) himself in the house, whos can we expect better to warm up the fans, who are catch by the legendary beatmaker of 3 Feet High and Rising . Let's go for a classic set : A Tribe Calle Quest, De La Soul, Biggie, Jay Z, The Firm, Gangstarr, Pete Rock & CL Smooth, Rakim, even some performs from Busta Rhymes when he started to rap with Leaders of the New School... A set close by the unforgettable Kurtis Blow and Sugarhill Gang ! Thank you Boss, it's time to introduce the next one, and to remind the crowd that tonight, The Pharcyde represent a real Hip Hop Show !
9:30 PM: The Pharcyde show is introduce by DJ Mike Relm, a very interesting Hip Hop Dance / Electronic DJ with the main power of sratching, and originally using videos samples from movies and cartoons.
DJ Mike Relm is not only there to show his personnal skills, he is here to be a part of The Pharcyde as a DJ during the set of the Californian Group !
10 PM: Imani and Bootie Brown know exactly what the fans want, classic... It's sound East coast, but it comes from the West coast. The debut album Bizarre Ride II The Pharcyde contains humorous lyrics, they do what they want. And then this is how they introduce their show, ''Soul Flower' followed by the deep humorous 'Ya Mama'...
And then follow naturally a sequence of classics. We can feel the experience of those artists on live, they know how to share what they love with the fans: the weed, on the melody of 'Splattitorium'... They know how to keep watm the crowd, the way they play with us on 'Oh sh*****', the legendary voice from 'Drop' on live...
Tonight, this is a great moment, even if 50 % of the group is missing, the group spirit is definitely still here. The prove when Imani and Bootie Brown start to adapt on some futurist beats play by DJ Mike Relm.
No one wants to go home when start the unforgettable 'Runnin' produced by J-Dilla. It sounds like the last present from The Pharcyde tonight, all the fan are thinking the same, so let's sing the ' Can't keep running away' and jump until the end.
11 PM: The crowd is more thant satisfy because of this great moment spend with the rappers... Satisfy but not full, that's why we claim them to come back for a last piece, when Imani said : ' - You remember that' and then start the magic 'Passin me by'...
This is the kind of Hip Hop event that people will remember, just because this is so real, so true... We are able to participate, and even if the Pharcyde started more than 20 years ago, they are still here, for the passion of Hip Hop. But what will happen in ten years ? Will they have enough energy to make the same ? What about the others old school hip hop group still doing live like The Pharcyde tonight...
We live in a perfect period about Hip Hop, because we still have access to old school events. The decision to enjoy the last years of this kind of show in in our hands...
