Feburary is already witnessing the greatest collection of House and Electronic songs and we are here to tell you all about them!
Quickly, Quickly - Fog
Quickly, Quickly have emerged with their spin on electronic R&B, Jazz and mixed house sounds. The song takes on meaty baselines peppered with elegant piano keys, amongst soothing samples. Rendering listeners with a super laid-back sound.
The track slides in slow until the crescendo of Fog takes up a speedier pace without losing any of its charm. Quickly, Quickly have released several tracks and Fog has the same mellow aromas of Hushed and Lost You, both received great reception for their tidy plays.
Kraak Smaak - Stumble (Fhin Flip Remix)
What strikes you the most about this remix is how true it stays to the orginal. The tenderness of the original can still be heard at its core, both in beat and in melody. But what rings through stronger in this adjustment is the injected tremors that pack a punch, removing the once delicate moments of the track and rejuvenating it as a true dance-house tune.
Kraak Smaak are currently touring across Europe, with only one show set to play so far in the UK in Camden on March 24th.
Disciples - On My Mind
Moving on to more commercial waters, the Disciples return with their new catchy club hit On My Mind. The new track exposes the trio's experience and sick mixing skills, in only three minutes.
The three have been spurred into electronic fame since their collaboration with Calvin Harris for their tune How Deep Is Your Love. On My Mind has just as much rich flavour and hearty beats, paired with the sultry vocals and a throaty chorus, that tie it all together as an all over fruity and upbeat edition.
Solardo - Matador
For an accelerated flurry of exotic beats, we have Solardo and his quick yet tasteful tech-house song. Matador expels a similar sensation and pace to his critically acclaimed Tribesman. Both tracks have interesting choices of samples, and intricate mixing that allows the bass beat to take control of your feet.
Solardo is currently touring up and down the UK, with shows set to commence in Manchester (24th Feb) as well as London (25th Feb) before partaking in shows across Europe and the USA.
Nathan - Stomp Change
Our final and meatiest edition to be recently released into the tech-house genre is Nathan Barato and his dark mix Stomp Change. The track is pure house magic, Barato samples the classic shrieks of Hey DJ from 1988's Kraze - The Party.
However, Barato's take storms in with a more hammering baseline and with zippier synths than its 80's predecessor. The seven minute lengthy rendition peaks in a series of places that will keep you on your toes all night!
