Scroobius Pip Is Also A DJ

Scroobius Pip is not only a white, full-bearded indie rapper and/or spoken word artist whom we appreciate for his music, wit and depth of thought + feeling.
He is also a DJ at The Book Club in Shoreditch in his spare time. The party hosted by Mr Scroobius is called We. Are. Lizards. - not sure what it means but it sounds good and he wore a lizard rubber mask while behind the decks, so it all makes sense. The music he played was proper hip-hop, ranging from Wu-Tang to Snoop Dogg et al.
We caught up for five minutes in front of the club, shook hands and talked about how rap music is positively evolving. We didn't get round to his future plans, gigs and music because he was on the way to meeting his friends when I interrupted him, but word online is that he'll be down live at The Secret Garden Party this weekend.
Too bad most of the little hipsters in the club had no idea who was playing the music they were prancing to, but then again, maybe that's what the mask was for. Anyway, We. Are. Lizards. happens monthly now.
