Trajections, an all day and night event starting at 12pm and finishing at 4am, premiered at Bristol's celebrated venue Lakota, with legends and heavyweight acts from the worlds of hip hop, grime and DnB making up the all star line up.
The first half of the event was all outdoors and thankfully the weather held up, enabling the crowd to fully enjoy the whole afternoon. Team Dreebs warmed things up before Strange U delivered a short but professional set as always. Children of Zeus then brought some mad soulful vibes to the crowd before original Bristol spitters Split Prophets got the crowd moshing. Babylon Dead, fronted by Bristolian JMan kept the vibes alive before the Dead Players got the crowd banging once more off the back of a huge performance at Boomtown.
Shouts out to Rodney P & Skitz dropping some legendary UK cuts, Kevin Brown with his super smooth brand of rap and YGG who got the crowd ready for the grimey vibes of headliner Casisdead later on.
The festivities then moved inside the venue where two rooms upstairs played host to a variety of UK bass music DJs including Remarc, Tropico DJs, Neffa T and Kotei. Dirty Dike made surprise appearances alongside a rejuvenated Jam Baxter, and also filled in for the absent Cult Mountain, something that left many fans disappointed. JMan and Babylon Dead held the main room till the end in the absence of Nicky Blackmarket. Shout outs to Ed Scissor for starting off the festivities indoors and President T coming through with some hard vibes.
Unapologetic headliner Casisdead was well worth the wait, turning the main room into a frenzy of moshing and rowdiness for the duration of the set with a selection of his top tracks. With his entourage to back him, the set they performed kept the energy levels up, with Cas’ no nonsense bars and dark outtake on life being no obstacle in turning the main room into fiendish madness.
Shout Outs and Big Ups to all the acts, head honcho Ivan and all the organisers and staff. #TRJ001 went off in style and without a hitch, and Guestlist.net looks forward to the next event from the Trajections/BoomBap team. @PhillyTea
