The Big Chill live hosted by Big Dada live

Other | Tuesday 9th August 2011 | Osh

The Big Chill House is beginning their monthly Saturday night called The Big Chill live. It's all about showcasing flavours of hip hop, soul and funk  artists– all performing live so Big Dada, the hip hop imprint of Ninja Tunes who manage Roots Manuva, Toddla T and Wiley, are kicking off the night with a massive launch party.

Performing for the label are Bang On!, Elan Tamara, Offshore and Dobie. NME described their label as:

"Not only a platform for the British urban underground but also attracts some of the most progressive word smiths and beat-scientists in the whole world... Big Dada are still pushing things forward."

Bang On!, a Liverpool born MC, is described as 'funny and furious' and his stories and metaphors caught the eye of his label-mate Toddla T, who asked him to freestyle for a section of his Radio 1 show. Elan Tamara's unique sound gained her a critically acclaimed EP on Big Dada and she has previously worked with DELS. Ewan Robertson aka Offshore is making some of the most exciting, emotional electronic music coming out right now. Lengthening the long line of successful Scottish producers, he's mixing up his Scotch influences with the city sounds of London. Dobie only signed to Big Dada 3 months ago but he's already a musical legend having worked on two Soul II Soul albums.

These four artists are going to be the first to grace the night at King's Cross. It's on 9th September and it's free so go down and support!

(Doors open at 8pm-4am)
