MethLab have smashed 2016, this is only the beginning...

Drum and Bass | Monday 12th December 2016 | Arren

MethLab turned it's head to running a label this year - and what a year its been.

Leading neurofunk bass agency MethLab moved into label management this year, and have smashed it. The imprint has been rolling out killer dancefloor material from big guns including Current Value, Rawtekk, & Skynet, joined the Terminal coalition with heavyweights Eatbrain & Bad Taste, rounded it all off by nabbing the award for 'Best Newcomer Label' at this years Drum&BassArena Awards. Now that's how you pull off a debut year on the scene!

Both individually, and as part of the Terminal project, MethLab have been circulating hard edged technical beats, saying themselves; "We push aphotic electronic bass music, created by pioneering individuals who aren't afraid to break away from the pack". Take one listen to their latest Revenant compilation and you'll soon realise they've got their money where their mouth is.

Racking up to nine tracks with contributions coming from guys like MachineCode, Rawtekk, and Silent Witness, it's the cutting edge of neurofunk, techy drum & bass. Across the compilation the guys have torn up the rule book and really produced something fresh.

The Revenant compilation sums up MethLab and, along with their award of best newcomer, signs them out of 2016 on a high. Though something tells us that the best is yet to come.
