Eminem UK Tour Ends In Scuffle
Maybe it was the famous D12 track ‘Fight Music’ that sparked the rampant scenes in Ireland, but it ended in over 60 arrests being carried out on Saturday night (17th August). Police made arrests at the Eminem gig for drug possession and also assault.
The event at Slane Castle had tighter security in comparison of the usual events it caters for. A weapons check and drugs check was conducted on entry to the venue with roughly 500 local stewards coupled with 750 officers as security.
A set-list of 22 classics, number ones and Slim’s new track, ‘Survival’ was brought to an end by one of his biggest ever singles, ‘Lose Yourself’.
A crowd of 80,000 may be seen as a quite a large gathering, but this forthcoming weekend will see that figured quashed by the mass of festival goers at Reading and Leeds festivals.
Eminem headlines on Saturday at Reading and Sunday at Leeds. After rocking V Festival in 2011, Eminem returns to the UK to perform at two of the biggest festivals of the summer. A lot of hype is circulating around the rapper and a I’m sure he’ll deliver a performance to remember.
