Mirror States unveil killer playlist ahead of their first Familia party at Egg LDN

House | Wednesday 9th January 2019 | Nicky

After an incredible response to Mirror States’ supporting set for Boris Brejcha back in March 2018, the Romanian selector returns to EGG LDN this Saturday, January 12th . With a groove-heavy, melodious set to warm up for New Yorker, Layton Giordani. Ahead of the night, Ionut aka Mirror States shares his current Playlist to show a bit more of what he’s sonically all about.

Gaiser - Flashed

This is actually the first track I loved and got me thinking about starting to play techno. I was a drum and bass DJ back then but this one kind of opened the way even though it took me another 2 years to do the switch. I still love to play this track!

Mircea Ivan - Phoenix

This track showed me that there are a lot of very good producers that many people do not know of. It also showed me that if you make a good track, it's a matter of time until the big names will start to play your music.

ADJD, Alexi Delano & Jesper Dahlbäck - Don't Constrain Me (Gaiser's Rubber Mind Remix)

I still don't remember if there is a track more symbolic then this one for what Mirror States's sound stands today. Still play this, there are people hearing it for the first time and the reaction is amazing, instant dance.

Raul Facio - Fifty Fifty

This was the first time I took contact with Raul Facio's music and since then there is a strong love relationship. Every set you can find at least 2 or 3 tracks from him. This track especially helped define our style when we started Mirror States in 2015.

Sam Paganini - Rave

There are not many things you can say about “RAVE”. I think it's the anthem of the "newcomers" as it was for me in 2015, as I don't have such a long history with techno music. This track basically showed me that if you work hard, with passion and you are consistent, eventually, you will harvest the fruits of your work.
