Losing our heads at Hot Since 82's Labyrinth
Wednesday 4th April 2018 | Arren
Saturday afternoon and shit shirts and slicked back hair are a dominating feature in Shadwell, and they’re all heading to Tobacco Dock for a proper Easter tech house sesh.
Summer came early for one the hottest venues in the Capital as Hot Since 82’s ‘Labyrinth’ took control of the Tobacco Dock. Following it's huge season on Ibiza, Labyrinth welcomed legends from the house and techno scenes to play across the venues 3 rooms, giving clubbers a taste of why Mr 82's party was one of the most talked about in 2017.
Across the whole events space masters of their craft brought their a-game, soundtracking one of London's biggest parties. Mid afternoon saw the Little Gallery getting a proper pounding with a heavy dosage of stomping tech house courtesy of William Djoko & Archie Hamilton.
As the evening drew in, Erick Morillo stepped up in the Great Gallery and gave London a schooling on house music. The master teared it up with bouncy basslines, silky smooth grooves and the odd nods to house’s past. And shouts to his incredible moves Erick, never stop dancing. Whilst Morillo was doing his thing, the Car Park was getting equally pumped with the sounds of Eats Everything.
Closing the show was the main man himself, Hot Since 82. The UK house icon vibed off the energy in the venue with more stellar pickings getting hammered out to a packed Great Gallery. His sensational skills on the decks kept the ravers on their feet till those lights came up, siging off one of the biggest parties in London over the Easter weekend.
At the end of the night, it was easy to understand why Labyrinth smashed Ibiza last season. An on-point selection of 4x4 bangers from some of the most in demand DJs on the circuit. It was too easy getting lost in this jungle of beats, but hey we ain’t complaining!
Hot Since 82’s Labyrinth returns to Ibiza in 2018. They’ll be holding things down in Pacha every Friday between May 25th and October 12th - Details
