South West 4 Festival is still on it's A-game, bringing the very best to Clapham for 15 years.
It’s become an important date in any ravers calendar, the last bank holiday in August watches SW4 transform Clapham Common into one of the bigger dance music festivals in the UK. Each year they bring the very best talent from all over to get down and dirty. Celebrating all things rave, their diverse line ups bring the best from a range of styles including house, drum & bass and garage.
This years edition was a special one, as it marked their 15th festival. As usual they brought an on point line up boasting sets from Armin Van Buuren, Basement Jaxx and Chase & Status. From the big guns to the smaller acts, they all brought their A-game and made it another SW4 to remember.
Saturday kicked things off in a big way. A huge line up was on hand to make sure things went off. The sun managed to break though the clouds in the end, keeping the vibes high, and just as well when mammoth sets were rinsed out. Highlights included Fedde Le Grand, W&W and housemaster Armand Van Helden. Though Armin Van Buuren slayed the main indoor tent, giving SW4 a proper celebration for its 15th birthday.
Though it was pissing it down Sunday, the energy levels remained high. How could they not, as SW4 had fixed up a heavy day of bass that included the Playaz stage, Bassline Carnival stage and sets from titans, DJ EZ, Andy C and Chase & Status. Heavyweights of the scene pounded the festival with basslines all day. Roni Size smashed it, Chris Lorenzo turned shit up inside the Bassline Carnival tent and Hype & Hazard layed waste to to their Playaz tent with their mad blend of futuristic drum & bass.
They pulled off another mental weekender, it’s no wonder they’re still going strong after 15 years. And they’ll be back next August bank holiday, so, we’ll see you on the Common!
