The release of Willow Smith’s latest track 'Summer Fling’ has led to mixed reviews as it has been suggested that the song is too mature for her age.
Most adults wish they could re-live their childhood and appreciate the days when they had no worries and responsibilities, and vice versa, most kids dream of adult life but it seems that Willow Smith in particular is in a haste as she sings about love and relationships.
The 12 year old daughter of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith is seen chilling by the pool, holding hands and having intimate moments with a guy that looks much older than her. As well as the audio-visuals, critics have always added that the lyrics are also too advanced: “Laying by the beach with you, Wishing it would never end” “It’s only for the summer but we’ll do it anyway” “Good night kiss ‘til the mood is right”
The lyrical content of the song has created controversy as some critics argue that the barely teen is too young to be singing about summer flings. Critics also worry that the songs seems too mature for Willow as well as her audience who are also most likely to be young girls who do not need to be involved in any sort of fling at that age.
