ART & BOOZE

If you are having a date or are want to show your friends your amazing understanding of what’s going on in the arts or are just feeling like a drink after work/uni, we recommend you follow our new section ART AND BOOZE.

We launch it today to help you keep on top of what’s happening in galleries around London. We have sorted a few of our favourites. 

 

Wednesday 17th January 

 

Griffin Gallery is hosting the exhibition ‘In Line’ (18th Jan - 23rd Feb), where 9 artists investigate the use of the line to generate complex and diverse forms, using different mediums as painting, video, kinetic sculptures or installations.

Thursday 18th January

 

Camberwell Space explores ‘A History of Drawing’ (16th Jan - 16th Feb), an exhibition where to explore sciences, new technology and politics. Featuring the work of over sixty artists, the exhibition conmemorates Camberwell's past and future. Get ready to get some inspiration about drawing techniques!

David Zwirner presents ‘Bridget Riley: Recent Paintings 2014 - 2017’ (19th Jan - 10th March). This British artist doesn’t need any sort of introduction, just pop up and enjoy of the creative scenes that you will find in there. Expect abstract compositions with geometric forms that will bring optical games and magic to your eyes and brain.

Bridget Riley's recent Paintings 2014 - 2017. 

 

Space Studios, wants to explore the notion of time and travel and thus are exhibiting 'J&K' (Janne Schäfer and Kristine Agergaard), whom work on the idea of beliefs and identities, including how hierarchies between humans, animals, plants, minerals and objects are just temporary constructions.
