Stop the deportation of EU nationals

Other | Tuesday 14th November 2017 | Geri

Last year the Home Office introduced a policy whereby European Economic Area (EEA) Nationals who are rough sleeping could be ‘administratively removed’ aka deported from the UK. This came through the guidance of the Home Office who found rough sleeping a ‘misuse’ of the EU’s citizens right of freedom of movement.

However, on the 29th of June the Public Interest Law Unit at Lambeth Law Centre was given permission to Judicially review the Home Offices policy of detaining and deporting Homeless EU nationals just for rough sleeping.

And on the first day of the hearing- Tuesday the 21st of November there will be a demonstration outside the Royal Courts of Justice to show the Judge public opposition. So, if you too are against this harsh and hostile policy show your support by joining the demonstration.
