David Cameron won’t resign if Britain votes to leave EU

David Cameron has stated that he won’t resign if Britain votes for the UK to leave the EU in the upcoming EU referendum, which will be held on June 23.

The EU referendum will involve a UK-wide vote on whether or not Britain should leave the EU. Whilst Cameron campaigns for Britain to remain in the EU, and is backed by about half of the UK, other influential politicians Boris Johnson and Michael Gove lead the leave campaign.

Speculations were flying around concerning the prime minister’s resignation if Britain voted to leave the EU, but today at Prime Minister’s Questions, Cameron gave a firm answer to people’s question.

Labour minister Richard Burgon asked the prime minister: ‘If the British people vote to leave the European Union, will the Prime Minister resign, yes or no?’, to which he answered ‘no’, curtly, and sat down.
