Not only is he still the strong frontman of the world famous band Bon Jovi, but Jon Bon Jovi has recently proven his philanthropic role, giving to those who have recently suffered hardship.
Jon Bon Jovi has rocked the music industry with his band Bon Jovi since 1983, still generating great music that proves their adaptability and talent. Recently, however, we are shown that there is a softer side to rock-stars, when Bon Jovi onated $1 million (£670, 000) to those victims that were emotionally, financially, and spiritually traumatized by Hurricane Sandy in October 2012.
Bon Jovi’s hometown, Sayreville, was one of many towns that were affected by the terrible natural disaster and was recently visited by Bon Jovi who went to help those affected and made a donation to the New Jersey Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund. He stated that:
“My being here is not political, it’s emotional, I grew up here. I went to school here. I met my wife here.”
Bon Jovi has obviously an emotional connection not only to this place but the people dwelling there, and therefore he has felt the need to connect and help. This is certainly admirable, coming from his personal pocket to help. These acts of kindness need to be acknowledged as a model for those who want to help, give, and those that have enough to give should give to those less fortunate.
