Billie Eilish is Killing it with killer new track about killing - 'Bellyache'
Following the release of her first single Ocean Eyes in 2016, 15 year old Billie Eilish recently dropped her new single Bellyache.
With a slightly more experimental sound than her previous dreamy ballads, it shows a maturity way beyond her fifteen years.
The song’s lyrics tells the story of a teenager who just committed murder, and the guilt that follows. Contrasted with an infectious, party-ready beat, it's already a strong contender for song of the summer.
The future looks bright for the dancer turned singer, who was forced to give up her passion after suffering a growth-plate injury back in 2015, but she’s recovered enough to start dancing again.
'Ocean Eyes' quickly became a viral success last year thanks to its choreography by Eilish’s dance teacher, and the official video reached over one million views earlier in the year.
Her older brother Finneas O’Connell helped produce the video, as well as her latest single. The pair are currently working on new music, which will combine her mellow pop sound with R’n’B style beats, as her influences include A$AP Rocky, Earl Sweatshirt and Tyler The Creator.
After recently signing with Interscope her debut album is expected to be released this summer.
