Guestlist recommends InHeaven for a healthy dose of backwards-looking grunge rock. With a sound building on the shoegaze, grunge and indie of the 80s and 90s, the band is creating a retro sound with a soul that sounds all new. Their first single ‘Regeneration’ is a raucous youth anthem with a guitar twangy enough and reverb strong enough to attract listeners of indie as well as listeners of more experimental guitar or pop music. Their more recent single ‘Bitter Town’, like ‘Regeneration’, captures the feeling of aspiring to something or somewhere slightly out of reach.
