Spellbinding soundscapes from Phoria

Other | Thursday 18th February 2016 | Christina

Following the release of ‘Melatonin’ in at the end of 2015, Phoria share new single ‘Undone’, which is out on 8th April via X Novo Records.

Taken from their highly anticipated debut album Volition, due 3rd June, ‘Undone’ is inspired by the human mind and captures Phoria’s powerful ability to engage through carefully constructed soundscapes. As the band detail: “Our minds will only ever get more and more tangled and complex. Like an inadvertent wrestle with entropy… Inevitably we cling to the simple things we remember. The roots of where we are now. If they've stayed simple, that is.”

The band - former classmates Trewin Howard (vocals/production), Jeb Hardwick (guitar, visuals) and Ed Sanderson (keyboard, vocals), and Tim Douglas (bass, synth) and Seryn Burden (drums) - have previously released two EPs to critical acclaim, cementing their reputation for expansive and evocative soundscapes.

Phoria will headline The Pickle Factory on 24th February, tickets available here and you can follow the guys on Facebook.
