LA-based singer-songwriter B. Miles is one to watch. She’s already drawn attention from a host of international tastemakers and her debut single ‘Nine Matches’ has invited comparisons to the likes of London Grammar and Banks.
Produced by Noise Club, ‘Nine Matches’ is a perfectly balanced, dark pop track. The percussive elements create space around deep synth pads, adding rich texture to B. Miles’ soulful vocals.
Miles’ sonic vision is based on “capturing the essence of melancholy and yearning, while finding beauty in the sadness and pain that all of us carry inside”. She has been gigging relentlessly up and down LA’s Sunset Strip, and has a new video and host of singles in the pipeline, so watch this space.
