Little Sparrow's Refined Message

Sending a message and sending a shiver down your spine.
Manchester singer-songwriter Katie Ware, better known as Little Sparrow, has released her latest track ‘Sending the Message’, a beautifully ethereal tune which divulges an important message. After experimenting in various bands in England’s south, Katie Ware in 2010 moved to Manchester and there she emerged as the unique female solo artist, Little Sparrow. This musical sensation has proven herself as a wonderfully talented artist, creating an exquisitely refined sound of folk-pop.
Although continually producing beautiful tracks in the past, Little Sparrow has surpassed herself lyrically, vocally, and instrumentally with her latest track, ‘Sending the Message’. This new music has given the indie music audience something to think about, as Ware’s emotionally stimulated vocals sing out her concern for the disintegration of society’s ability to communicate. Through this new track, Little Sparrow aims to highlight that our increasingly digitised society has become less personal and less receptive, where society is dehumanised because people no longer truly listen to nor respond to a message sent from the heart. This powerful heart-felt plea is certainly complex, but Little Sparrow has successfully rendered it into a magnificently uncomplicated folk tune which is evocative and haunting.
