New Kings of Leon – ‘Super Soaker’
Monday 10th June 2013 | Alex
Watch Kings of Leon perform a new single, ‘Super Soaker’.
It’s taken from their upcoming ‘Mechanical Bull’ album, out September 24 and their first since 2010’s ‘Come Around Sundown’. Long-time collaborator Angelo Petraglia is again employed.
It comes after a tumultuous period - In 2011 Caleb Followill fled a Dallas stage and didn’t come back, prompting speculation that they’d disband. Shortly afterward Jared Followill tweeted: "I can’t lie, there are problems in our band bigger than not drinking enough Gatorade."
The group announced ‘Mechanical Bull’ earlier this year, and Jared described it as halfway between their 2003 debut ‘Youth and Young Manhood’ and their third album ‘Because of the Times’, remarking on the youthfulness of it all.
