Red Bull Studios Presents: Monki & Friends

Since interning for Rinse FM, Monki has worked her way up the ranks, doing everything and anything, from making tea to fetching Nando's for the office. One day, Rinse FM’s figure heads Geeneus and Sarah threw her in the deep end and she was told she has 2 hours to impress and boy did she.
Her raise to fame has been unprecedented in the world of DJ’s, which is why her name is on the tip of everybody’s lips and rightly so. The likes of BBC’s Annie Mac and the Guardian’s Clare Considine are singing her praises and I for one can't wait for her to be given one of the prime time slots at the BBC.
'DJ Monki and Friends' is the brand new downloadable five-track EP released alongside Red Bull Studios, featuring various collaborations between Salva and Melé; My Nu Leng, Shadow Child and more. The EP also includes a special track by Her very own ZOO Music imprint signings Zulu, TOYC and Baxta.
Her EP launch party kicks of this Friday, May 31st at the Red Bull Academy HQ and one thing is for sure, the audience are going to be cutting shapes all night.
What’s interesting about the EP is its creative process, which is documented on her twitter through a series of pictures and videos, show casing the DJ in her natural habitat.
