Hip Hop at Glastonbury 2013

Thursday 28th March 2013 | Chris

Hip hop legends Public Enemy and Nas have been confirmed to appear at this year's Glastonbury Festival.

The Somerset festival returns this summer after venue host Michael Eavis chose not to hold the event in 2012. Those lucky enough to get their hands on tickets, which sold out in less than two hours, will be able to hear tracks from classic albums such as It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back and Illmatic come to life in front of the packed out crowd.

As well as bringing the veterans to the lineup, relative newcomers such as Azealia Banks and Odd Future's Tyler, The Creator and Earl Sweatshirt are also on the bill. Those who like their hip hop from this side of the Atlantic can look forward to seeing Wiley and Dizzee Rascal bringing their energetic live shows to Worthy Farm.

Since Jay-Z's headline appearance in 2008, a decision which was criticised by some Glastonbury purists, hip hop artists continue to be a mainstay at the festival.
