I can't get it out of my head : Bastille - Pompeii

You know when you go through phases of listening to a song non-stop, and without fail it gives you a tiny eargasm whenever it unexpectedly plays? Well, mine at the moment is undoubtedly Bastille’s Pompeii. I know it’s been out for a while now and Radio 1 like to play it to the point of overkill, but whenever this song graces my ears I can’t help but just smile.
I first heard Pompeii whilst driving down the m40 being battered by the horrible weather in my little KA with my sister and it captivated me from the word go. Or maybe I should say ‘eh eh oh eh oh’.
Bastille have been a favourite of mine for a long time now, and the South London based quartet can do no wrong in my eyes. I’m so glad Bastille have finally got the recognition they truly deserve and with Pompeii reaching number 2 in the UK Top 40, things can only get better and better for the band who formed in just 2010.
I personally can’t wait to hear more from the Bastille boys!
