Green Day join Reading Headliners

This week Green Day was announced to be the third and final headliner joining Biffy Clyro and Eminem at the top of the rock festivals bill.
Basket Case, American Idiot and Wake me up when September ends are only a small fraction of the American rock bands’ chart topping songs that will be performed to thousands of Green Day fans at this year’s Reading and Leeds festival.
However lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong suffered a heavily publicised break down in 2012 and band members are said to be scared for the Green Day comeback.
Billie Joel was admitted to rehab after suffering from alcohol and insomnia pill addiction.
The cracks of Armstrong’s’ melt down were made apparent after a set at the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas when Billy Joel flipped after the band was told they only had one minute left “I’m not fucking Justin Bieber you motherfuckers. Fuck this shit! I’ve been around since 19-fucking -88 and you’re gonna give me one fucking minute? You gotta be fucking joking. I got one minute, one minute left. Now I got nothing left. Let me show you what one fucking minute means” before the band smashed their guitars off and walked off stage.
As well as headlining Reading and Leeds for the THIRD time (1995-2004), the rock band are headlining a gig at London Emirates Stadium this summer.
