Arctic Monkeys - R U Mine? Best Video

The NME Awards happened last night, and the award for the best video went to Arctic Monkeys – “R U Mine?” does it deserve it? Well I certainly think so. Arctic Monkeys are definitely a favourite of mine, I saw them last at the o2 area in late 2011, and they were bloody fantastic. Alex Turner was without question at his best in his leather jacket, and sporting that lovely quiff of his, just as he does in the “R U Mine?” video.
Last year when talking about their fifth album, Turner said that the sound would be heavier, and more along the lines of the “R U Mine?” single. He said that on their next record “that’s where it’s going to be at”. He wants the record to reflect the harder rock direction of this single.
There are rumours floating around the twitter-sphere that their fifth album will be surfacing later this year, with Matt Helders’ mum hinting that the boys were recording at Josh Homme's Rancho de la Luna studio in Joshua Tree, where they recorded their third album “Humbug”.
There have also been many rumours about the band returning to play at this year’s Glastonbury festival, after topped the bill there in 2007.
