What's Eating Gilbert is Chad Gilbert's [lead guitarist of New Found Glory] side project. But just because he is in a punk band don't think this is going to sound like New Found Glory, because it doesn't! He has his own sound that is very different to his band, and has a total vintage vibe to it.
He first started this project a few years ago by posting a few free songs to download online. As he wrote more songs he decided to release them on Bridge Nine, Paper + Plastick, and EMI Label Services. After many record sales he now has 5 EP's, the newset one being called 'Cheap Shots.' Right now, Chad is on tour with artists such as Souvenirs, Allison Weiss, and Candy Hearts. Candy Hearts is the first band that Chad signed to his new lable called 'Vioently Happy Records.'
This video is from What's Eating Gilbert's first show which took place in Atlantic City, New Jersey at the Boneyard on 22nd. In this video he is performing the song 'What I'd Do' which is featured on the What I'd Do EP.
