Haim; Three sisters, a retro beat, and hypnotising harmonies, what more could you want from a female indie band?
Haim are a new American indie band that made a massive splash in the music scene last year. The girls have beautiful deep, strong vocals that are usually more popular in male indie bands, or heavy rock bands, however I think it's a refreshing change from the baby voiced, innocent girl sound that's everywhere in indie recently. Last november the band headlined their first ever UK tour, which turned out to be a huge success with critics raving about them left right and centre. The band doesn't seem to be slowing down any time soon, as they are currently working on their debut album and are up for four awards at this year's NME awards, good luck girls!
If you can't wait for Haim's debut album to come out, relax, the girls aren't leaving you empty handed. Haim's new EP Falling is coming out on April 1st. The title track 'Falling' is available for download now! Here's one of their older songs 'Don't save me', showing the girls having a vicious basketball match with 3 boys that are twice their size, talk about bad girls! And that's just one of the reasons that I love them, have a listen!
