Introducing Skreamin Colours
Thursday 24th January 2013 | sharon
This new all-star collective released their first single titled ‘Nothing’ on Monday 21st Jan. ‘Nothing’ is a massive electronic soul track with attractive dubstep influences.
Conceived by Kouncilhouse and Knightfreak, their first offering adds the creative talents of the legendary Ashley Slater and a soaring vocal from Scarlett Quinn.
Armed with strong credentials, Kouncilhouse has worked with Faithless, Stanton Warriors, Leeroy Thornhill (Prodigy), Future Sound of London, Atomic Hooligan, Dub Pistols, Calverton, and Pendulum and Freestylers.
Knightfreak formerly produced under the name of Circuit Breaker and is best known for his dubstep chart topper remix of 'I Dont Care' by Kouncilhouse and Freestylers MC Sirreal.
Ashley Slater started his career in the eighties and was in the band Freak Power with Norman Cook a.k.a. Fatboy Slim, still best known for the world hit 'Turn On, Tune In, Cop Out'. He has also worked with Dub Pistols, Dimitri From Paris, Rui Da Silva and many other world renowned artists.
Scarlett Quinn scored a massive underground hit last year with her own band Kitten and The Hip. She also features on the new Netsky album and recently collaborated with the U.S. based Manufactured Superstars on the track 'Take Me Over'.
With Pendulum band member Peredur Ap Gwynedd on guitar, it’s a promising mix. Produced by Kouncilhouse and Slater, the original will appeal to a wider audience – it has a powerful, emotive vocal with a light dubstep influence. The remix gives a darker, slightly serrated dubstep edge, giving every DJ a perfect version for their late night underground sets.
