Brad Pitt for Chanel No. 5

It was announced in May that Brad Pitt would be the new face of Chanel and finally it is upon us.
When news first broke that a male actor would be the face of Chanel’s campaign for the No. 5 fragrance, the world was shocked. However, it was then confirmed that Brad Pitt would be the said male actor and women across the world erupted with excitement.
After 91 years of Chanel campaigns each featuring attractive women, we will now see a male face front the fragrance’s campaign for the first time ever. Brad Pitt, 48, is set to appear in both TV and print adverts later this month into early November. The rumours go that the 48 year old star of Killing Them Softly will be seen speaking to the viewer as if speaking to a woman. It is then revealed that it is not a woman, but instead the No. 5 perfume bottle.
With both Sam Taylor-Wood, who recently shot the H&M campaign, and Joe Wright, director of Atonement and Anna Karenina, on board, it is sure to be just as great as previous campaigns. Previous Chanel No. 5 faces include Nicole Kidman, Vanessa Paradis and Audrey Tautou and Keira Knightley has been the most recent face of the Coco Mademoiselle fragrance.
We will have to wait a few more days to see Brad in the latest adverts, but no doubt there will be a lot of happy women around.
