Schoolboy Q Tells It Like It Is

Quincy Matthew Hanley A.K.A Schoolboy Q is an American hip hop artist signed to “Top Dawg Entertainment”, co-signed to “Interscope”. He is a good story teller and his rhymes reflect the life he’s living, keeping it “real”. He regularly collaborates with Kendrick, Jay Rock, Ab Soul and the rest of his team “Black Hippy”
An example of Schoolboy Q’s story telling ability is perfectly reflected in the track “my hatin joint”. He talks about a girl he likes, this girl is with another guy and he’s describing his train of thoughts, exploring the reasons why she’d be better off with him. Another one of my favourites is “Blessed” which features Kendrick Lamar. This one is just deep and surprisingly moving once you listen to the lyrical content.
All in all Schoolboy Q is a talented artist that is soon to blow up internationally. If you haven’t already started listening to this dude, I suggest you start ASAP as you will not be disappointed.
