Arctic Monkeys discuss fifth album. Indie | Monday 2nd July 2012 | Osh It seems that fans of Sheffield born band the Arctic Monkeys just can’t get enough. I saw them three times last year and i’m pleased to discover that they are back writing and discussing their new album. Talking recently to music magazine Artrocker, Alex Turner announced that the sound on the new EP would be heavier and more along the lines of their recently released single R U Mine. He said "I think we're going to go the direction of those heavier tunes. We did 'R U Mine', and I think that's where it's going to be at for us for the next record." The band have just completed a world tour in support of their new album Suck it and See. They have been touring with American Rock band The Black Keys and have even graced the stages of Coachella festival in Indio, California. Alex Turner is keen to take the sounds of their 5th studio EP back to their roots in Sheffielf by recording their. It’s said that Alex Turner has found it hard living in America and being on the other side of the pond from his bandmates. Hollie Dent
