Event Preview: D'angelo 2nd February @ O2 Academy

It’s taken over 10 years, but D’angelo is back for one night only, with a live band at the O2 Academy, Brixton. The good news doesn’t stop there, as The Roots drummer ‘Questlove’ has disclosed that D’angelo is finally wrapping up work on his long awaited 3rd album. With the Grammy winning Neo-Soul extraordinaire having gone Platinum on both Brown Sugar (1995) and Voodoo (2001), the long hiatus has evoked a big hype around this release. Rumours of contributions from Cee Lo Green, Prince & Mark Ronson suggest that D’angelo has been cooking up some delicious soul to make up for lost time. Needless to say, that fans could be feasting their ears on some new exclusive material at this exciting comeback show.
