Christmas is widely viewed as the happiest time of year, though for those that go without it can be the hardest time, in a year full of struggles.
There’s something about a toy drum that evokes Christmas. Maybe it’s the toy drum we asked Santa for in decades past, maybe it’s the twelve drummers drumming in the days of Christmas rhyme or maybe it’s neither of those things and a toy drum doesn’t make you think of Christmas at all. Until now, where Abode & Studio 338 are collaborating to present the event ‘Toy Drum’ hoping to raise over £30,000 for children’s charity Kids Company.
The union of the leaders in London’s thriving electronic music scene will do their best to ensure children don’t go hungry this Christmas. The event will have major DJ headliners and with support of London House Info, Mixmag and Resident Advisor this cheerful Christmas event promises to be huge.
The event will be on the 20th December, just in time for raising the Christmas funds and spirits. All door and ticket proceedings will go directly to Kids Company, enabling them to throw a huge party on December 25th, including games, a Santa’s grotto and of course, the classic Christmas dinner and presents. This will allow over 4,000 vulnerable children and young people to enjoy their Christmas Day as much as the rest of us.
What better way to spread seasonal cheer and do your bit? More information about the event, and tickets can be purchased here – also, read more about the worthy cause and donate here.
