Im wit cha, I ain't mad at cha, got nutten but luv for ya, do your thang bwoi...

Who remembers when hip hop was just about chillin' and nodding your head to the beat? I do. One track I believe stays true to hip hop is the legendary West Side rapper, Tupac Shakur's “I Ain’t Mad At Cha”. Released as the sixth single from his album All Eyez on Me, this track is all about bringing people together and making peace. No matter how much someone has disappointed you or brought shame to you, “I Ain’t Mad At Cha”. The main chords used in the track come from another track, A dream” from the group Debarge. Soul singer Danny boy was featured in the track singing the heart-melting hook. The track was originally inspired by and dedicated to Tupac’s friend and former group member in Outlawz, Napoleon, who converted to Islam and is now a motivational speaker.

We all know about the East coast-West side feud which was active in the 90s and saw hip hop's maturity from childhood to adolescence. Although there was much violence between the two groups, Tupac was the one to bring peace, starting with this one track. The single was released shortly after Tupac's death, when thousands morned his soul after he was shot. Even though we lost a great rapper, his immaculate style and awesome music was left behind for all of us to enjoy and grow from.
