Treat yourself to Exit Festival

Drum and Bass | Thursday 20th June 2013 | Kledion

After a long, long year everyone deserves a break. This year Exit Festival is second to none when it comes to treating yourself. The prestigious event lasts around 5 days and has previously been voted ‘Best European Festival’ in 2007 from people all over the world. Something it has lived up to throughout the years. Held in the 18th-century fortress by the Danube, the festival quickly grew in stature and reputation. Yet this festival lends itself not just to music but also the minds of youth having stood firm in its political roots beginning. The festival began in 2000 as a student protest against the government. Although it soon cemented itself as one of the best places to be, gaining support from a strong social platform.

Exit Festival is located in Novi Sad within a unique setting also known as the Fortress. Such vibes to jam in spice up a festival’s atmosphere making it that more enjoyable. while it offers superb acoustics, allowing that different events and gigs take place one next to another, without the sound interference.

Fortress is one of the most beautiful places to wake up in but is so much more, you can appreciate a bit of rich Serbian hospitality culture.  It is currently on the list of protected monuments, being the historical, cultural and artistic centre of Novi Sad.

Essentially this is more than just a music festival; having remained in the Top Ten world festival destinations, the likes of CNN and The New York Times have proclaimed its glamorous appeal. Its rich culture also entices its visitors. It begs the question, why on earth would you not travel here.
