Beats By Dre Announces New Album
The weekends VMA awards confirmed what was expected after the release of new track ‘Survival’ by Eminem. Slim Shady has had it confirmed that The Marshall Mathers LP 2 is set to be released early this November.
A short but incredibly intriguing advert posted during the 2013 VMA awards said very little but said it all. Previewing the latest track from Em, ‘Berzerk’ in the background, the clip displayed Eminem’s name, the title of The Marshall Mathers LP 2 (MMLP2 for short), the release date of November 5th of this year and the executive producers of Dr. Dre and Rick Rubin. Short but scintillating.
This forthcoming album will be Slim’s first since 2010 when he released number one album, Recovery. Though the announcement of Em working with Dre again was of no surprise for many, the news of Rick Rubin’s involvement has turned more than a few heads. The producer has recently been getting involved with more and more hip-hop related projects, most recently adding a bit of spice to Kanye’s Yeezus album and Magna Carta Holy Grail by Jay Z. With both albums being such huge successes, it can easily be assumed that Em’s album will come through just as strongly!
Shady has been busy recently as he headlined the Reading and Leeds festival. He performed new song ‘Survival’ amongst some old greats such as ‘Kill You’, ‘The Real Slim Shady’ and ‘Lose Yourself’.
