Usher's Son Hospitalised
The singer’s son from a previous marriage to stylist Tameka Forster was hospitalised after nearly drowning in a swimming pool at home. The five year old was trying to retrieve a toy in the pool’s drain when he got stuck. He was eventually freed by two contractors working at the house who also performed CPR on him.
Usher was not at home at the time but got back in time to ride in the ambulance with his son. Doctors at the hospital have confirmed that the singer’s son is recovering and doing well.
This incident happened just over a year after Usher’s stepson, 11-year old Kile Glover passed away due to injuries sustained in a water ski incident.
Usher and Foster underwent a public child custody dispute following their 2009 divorce after little more than a year of marriage. The divorce directly preceded and likely influenced Usher's sixth album, 2010's Raymond v. Raymond.
