Red Hot Chili Peppers to release new Album "Im With You"

Indie | Monday 11th July 2011 | Osh

We review the newest studio from the star studded quartet. After the departure of John Frusciante the Red Hot Chili Peppers are back to what they do best and this summers comeback release of “I’m With You” will compile their tenth studio album. Josh Klinghoffer, of Dot Hacker and Ataxi (with Frusiante) will replace the former member as the quartets lead guitar, keyboard and backing vocalist. There is hope though that the most recent album will be as good as its predecessors, front man Anthony Kedis has been quoted as stating that “there is no question -this is the beginning.”

Since the 2006 Stadium Arcadium tour the band have entered a one becoming two year hiatus, the 2011 I’m With You will mark the longest gap between studio albums. Taking influences from the Rolling Stones Exile on Main Street and Tattoo You the album has varied roots. Expect creeping bass lines and textural guitar detail as the album develops, concentrating on melody more than riffs, the album according to Bassist Flea is aimed at “the connection between feeling and song”. Taking their album artwork from Damien Hurst expect I’m With You to satisfy all listeners, old and new fans alike as their UK tour kicks of in December of this year.
