Eminem Turns Down Movie Role Due To Location

The Detroit City native reportedly refused the lead role in a upcoming movie because his beloved city of Detroit was not chosen as the location for its shooting. The lead role in the sic-fi movie, titled Elysium, went to accomplished actor Matt Damon and has already be shot in Hollywood, California. The movie is due for release this fall.
In an interview, Eminem claimed that it would take a very ‘dope’ script or role for him to take a break from rapping and return to action. Eminem had previously acted alongside Mekhi Phifer and Kim Basinger in the award-winning 8 Mile, a movie for which he was also responsible for its soundtrack.
The Detroit City native will be headlining the Glasgow Summer Sessions on August 15 at Bellahouston Park in the Scotland capital city.
