Get wise, rally for socialism!
On the centenary of the Russian Revolution of 1917, UCL will be a host to a rally that will address a variety of topics related to socialism.
The main two themes of the day will be:
- How can we make Corbyn's policies real now?
- Revolutionary ideas for our movement today
The fantastic line- up of guest speakers includes:
- Kshama Sawant, elected socialist in Seattle who led first successful campaign for $15/hr in the US
- Ian Mearns, Corbynista MP and chair of the RMT's parliamentary group
- Peter Taaffe, Socialist Party general secretary
- Isai Priya, campaigner for refugee rights with Tamil Solidarity
- Juan Ignacio Ramos, general secretary of the Socialist Party’s sister party in the Spanish state, Izquierda Revolucionaria
- Chris Baugh, assistant general secretary of the PCS civil service union
The tickets are only a fiver, and the things you will learn as well as rally for, are more than worth the money!
