Native People are here to 'Figure It Out'
Kent quartet Native People show off their evolved sound in new single 'Figure It Out'.
Produced by The Citrus Clouds and Oz Craggs, the new track retains the band's core essence whilst showcasing their versatility as they explore a new direction for their sound - a mix of downtempo funk and contemporary pop.
'Figure It Out' perfectly reflects the change in tone and lifestyle between summer and autumn/winter. Laid back beats and melancholic lyrics replace those driving drums and discordant vocals. Reuben Todd's airy vocals complement the ethereal pads and delicate percussion, coming together to convey the desire to 'figure it out'.
2016 has been a big year for Native People, with their summer single 'Call Me' breaking into the top 10 on Spotify's UK Viral Chart and being labeled "the sound of summer" by BBC Introducing. As well as a tour of Germany and Holland, the band headlined Club NME at KOKO, and are heading out on their first UK headline tour this month.
