Rock / Pop / Alt Country/Adult Alternative The Virginian trio Sweet Davis consists of vocalist Kristin Davis, guitarist Matt Ascione and drummer Pete Davis. The band’s sound is derived from wide and varied influences including- alternative rock, classic rock, pop, metal and country. Their sound is reflected through these varied influences with a blend of unique music coupled with Kristin’s soothing melodic vocals, resulting in well crafted songs that cross over from rock to pop to country. Sweet Davis makes uncomplicated pop music performed with emotion, built on well crafted changes and produced around Kristin’s unique soaring voice. The ability to make less sound more is their aim while not compromising on all the necessary elements that leave a listener feeling good.
This Radio Sound band have enjoyed national US and European Radio Airplay for many years now. Invited onto countless radio shows to perform Live and interview the Virginian Trio know their way around the audio media well. So far reaching is their popularity, that on a recent trip to London UK the parents of Kristen and Pete Davis were asked by a waiter in Covent Garden after realising their surname were asked if they had heard of the band called Sweet Davis ? Things music wise are moving fast for the band writing new material SWEET DAVIS are soon to return with MORE sounds...
I first heard about Sweet Davis whilst Hosting my Radio show on Reputation Radio. My radio colleague at the time walked into the studio with a CD and just said ''listen to this'' Having many MP3's and CD's sent to me it became a time issue to listen to them all and if the sound wasn't hitting me within the first 30 seconds it didn't get airplay so it had to be good. I took this CD and played the first track '' Too Shy'' That was it I was amazed the vocals grabbed me straight away and the melody hooked me like a fish.. Their style is very easy listening non threatning and leaves you feeling good, sometimes with music it's not all about being bad and angry or wanting to be left feeling like the artist has just raped your soul.....
