Meat production is one of the biggest causes of global warming. In fact, the global livestock industry produces more greenhouse emissions than cars, trains, planes and ships put together. From farm to plate beef is the biggest culprit causing 5x more carbon emissions than pork or chicken. Social initiatives like #MeatFreeMonday have helped the nation to find tasty meals that are cheap, healthy and most importantly free from meat. It is these campaigns that prove you don’t have to give up meat altogether to make a difference, just cut down on how much you eat. All in all the research proves attitudes towards global warming and animal welfare are changing, meaning we have a better chance of beating global warming and creating a bright future for our planet.
