An important transmission from Planet V.
V’s musical empire are back with another monster compilation to kick start the year. Bryan Gee, V’s head honcho, explains there’s “tracks from across our 4 labels from the past 12 months, as well as brand new exclusive material”.
The tracklisting takes you across V empire’s spectrum of drum & bass and the many styles it concerns itself with with legends like Break and Bailey sitting alongside many of V’s tight artist roster.
“We’ve been lucky enough to release some amazing music recently and this gives us a chance to put it all together for you, so you all can experience that Planet V vibe and get to know what we are all about in 2016” - Bryan Gee
The catalogue of music from them was tight last year, all four imprints churning out hit after hit. They had a fine collection of records to choose from and mixed it up with everything, from heavy hitting techstep tracks to the smooth liquid rollers. All was expertly mixed by Alibi (pictured above), V’s newest recruits.
“We’ve been working with them as solo artists for a little while (Level 2 & DJ Chap) but since they have linked up for this new project, the guys have gone from strength to strength” - Bryan Gee
This is perfect introduction for both the V camp and Alibi. The Brazilian duo have done team V proud, introducing them nicely into the year and representing their sound of drum & bass to maximum effect. Alibi will be a name we’ll be seeing a lot more of, Bryan believes they “will be making a lot of noise this year!”, so we've been warned!
