ASOS teams up with Primark

Online retailer and popular favourite ASOS, has announced this month they are adding Primark clothing to their already vast range of brands and collections.
Since launching the collection at the beginning of June, the two companies have already decided to double the size of the collection due to its huge success. This partnership is already popular among many teens and is predicted to increase the sales of both ASOS all round, and Primark, significantly.
Although owners have previously said Primark will remain a high-street store only, after ASOS’ recent success over the past three months, bringing in £194 million, Primark have agreed to a trial run. They hope by teaming up with ASOS they will not only increase their sales, but also develop a more positive name, instead of the negative stories often published.
Their clothing is favoured by teens and young women due to styles staying on trend and being low priced. Stores often run low on certain styles and sizes and owners hope by having the range online, these will be more accessible and available to a wider audience. This collaboration also means buyers from abroad can access Primark clothing. Foreign sales on ASOS have recently had a 48% increase, and if this increase benefits the sales of Primark also, we believe the trial will become permanent very soon.
