Welcome To The World Of Queen Of The Harpies

If you haven`t done it yet, pop South to Pop Brixton. Started earlier this year, its aim is to be a cool place that also supports the local community.
Located in the shipping container village, POP Brixton, you`ll find a wide range of small businesses and start-ups from food to furniture, lifestyle and fashion. Entering the market on the left-hand side, there`s a small bright colourful shop with ornaments and flamingos outside, which will defintiely catch your attention.
This is QUEEN OF HARPIES. The shop is run by sisters, Natalie and Leanne who started this successful and eccentric business. The name almost says everything you need to know and the inspiration, surprisingly enough is taken from a Simpsons episode.
"It seemed to sum up what we were trying to achieve within the shop so we ran with it" Natalie, explained to us.
"We wanted the store to be a feast for the eyes, a playground for adults, a space that makes the shopping experience fun again. We wanted it to be like a having a girls night in with a great wardrobe at your disposal." says Leanne
The pair hand source the majority of the products from markets and wholesalers from around the world, from India to Bali. You can find here are treasures from around the world like hand-made crowns from Thailand, their own designed and hand beaded bralets and some other vintage pieces. How unique is that!
Rumour has it, the most stylish sisters in Brixton are currently working on their first full collection. Keep your eyes open!
