Samsung Steal the Limelight from Apple in the “Battle of the Smartphones”.

Thursday 30th May 2013 | Gabriel

After selling 10 million S4 smartphones in a month Samsung have followed it up with a ‘mini’ version of it, hoping to pile the pressure on Apple’s release of their latest iPhone.

Boasting plenty of fancy new tech the ‘Galaxy S4 Mini’ looks set to be another huge success story for Samsung as they now have the biggest stake in the ‘smartphone’ market with 22%. The S4 Mini is even bigger than the S3 mini and has an eight-mega pixel rear-facing camera to attract to the photographers out there.

Samsung will have to win over its critics as the last ‘Mini’ was seen as just a smaller much less powered version if its big sibling. The S4 Mini is aimed at the people who can’t afford the S4 or even people who just want a smaller slimmed down version of the S4 that’s quite similar to the size of an iPhone.

This new release will have stacked the pressure on Apple to release a new revolutionary version of the iPhone as it seems to be all too similar to its predecessors. Apple is now the third largest provider of smartphones, with Nokia taking up second, and seems in danger of being blown out of the water if they don’t find some stunning new technology to silence the critics.
